Greetings!

My name is Therese Nielsen Kokot, and I have a passion for usability and user-centered design. Over the past eight years, I've worked professionally as an e-Learning developer, freelance web designer, web design instructor, and senior web designer. I also have a strong academic background that combines Anthropology, Interactive Multimedia, and HCI. Recently I completed a series of academic projects at the School of Information that gave me hands-on experience with usability methods. I'm now finished with HCI coursework, but continue to find inspiration through many usability-oriented books and podcasts.

I am now living in Chicago, and actively seeking career opportunities in the field of user experience design.

From Gary Olson:

"I have followed Therese Nielsen’s stay at the School of Information with great interest. This past fall semester she took my course on Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). She got the highest grade in the class, a rare A+ from me...."
